Hue to Hoi An in a day
If you only have a day, the best way to get to Hoi An from Hue is NOT on a crowded bus, but on the back of a motorcycle with and his team of professional guides
The scenery along the coastal road of highway 1 is truly spectacular and you will have the chance to stop at sights you would never see from the bus. On our way we pass villages and rice paddies and stop for a swim at Elephant Falls. Continuing south the road will take you over the famous Hai Van Pass, or the “Sea of Clouds” where at the top you’ll have a panoramic view of thebowl-shaped bay of Da Nang. We then travel through the city of Da Nang to the white sands of China Beach, where on March 8, 1965 3500 Marines landed to defend the American airbase in Da Nang. From China Beach we make a final stop at Marble Mountain, five marble outcrops with a system of caves and Buddhist pagodas. Then on to Hoi An!
