Explore the DMZ
Leaving from Hue we ride north along highway 1 to Quang Tri town just south of the DMZ
We visit Long Hung Church and Quang Tri old Citadelthe site of a battle in 1972 between North and South Vietnam known as the “Battle of 81 days and nights”.
We then leave the highway to ride along the coast between Cua Viet and Cua Tung beaches, passing through small towns and villages, past rice paddies, duck ponds and salt farms and a stretch of beautiful and quiet coastline.
Next we will take you on a tour of the Vinh Moc tunnels and the Demilitarized Zone before stopping for lunch at Doc Mieu base. In the afternoon we will have short stop at Truong Son cemetery to pay respects to the soldiers who fought and died on the trail during the American War before returning to Hue.
